Hey all,

 A question for those who know more about NZ weather than I.  How feasible is hiking the Heaphy track at the end of August without crampons?  I expect some snow but is it going to be all snow or just some snow in the higher parts?

No need for crampons.  It'd be a nice walk.

 Regarding how much snow, all that would depend on the weather the week before.  Could have a week of heavy rain and have no snow or a massive dump and waist deep unconsolidated *** the whole way.
